Supporting every aspect of CFD methodology
This service is relevant to those with an existing computational engineering background wanting to expand to CFD simulations or to those looking to enhance and further optimize their existing CFD methodology. Being a research oriented organization we invest significant development effort in the leading open source CFD codes: Open Foam and Su2. Switching to an open source solution can lead to significant cost reduction in addition to the increased flexibility that it offers. We help you to ensure that the open source option is at least equally capable in terms of reliability and performance.
Description
We offer our extensive CFD expertise tailored towards client’s requirements supporting even the most complex computational requirement ranging from geometry repair and workflow automation to the selection of the appropriate computational model for the given flow condition. Below are some of the key capabilities for each stage of the CFD workflow:
There are generally two ways that Compflow offers its support:
- Project based service: it’s an on demand offer of support with predefined deliverables and deadlines. In this case the company is only committed for the agreed deliverables and the cooperation ends when the project is delivered. This option is preferred for small development projects
- Yearly based service: The customer obtains a predefined number of support hours that last a year. This is the most cost effective choice when the customer anticipates a constant workflow during a year or when there is a large development project which requires constant modifications and alterations.
Workflow
- Problem description: The client describes in detail the technical problem and the desired outcome.
- Feasibility study: This is the stage where we perform a literature review and assess whether it’s possible to offer the required deliverables if it’s a development request. In cases where the request is already covered by our methodology the feasibility study is significantly shortened.
- Proposal creation: It’s the official proposal that includes a detailed list of deliverables, timescales and cost. The proposal can be reviewed by the customer who can suggest additions or removals. The final iteration of the proposal is a binding document between both parties.
- Demonstration and training: After the completion of the task we ensure that you are confident on how to incorporate our work in your workflow. Relevant training can also be provided at client’s premises if that’s desired.
- Documentation: Every aspect of the work done will be documented in an official document
